This site presents some of my favourite images, mainly from the southwest of Ireland, along the Atlantic seaboard, places of astonishing beauty and relative wildness, unique landscapes and seascapes affording opportunities for contemplative recreation, inspiration, reflection and allowing one to experience a profound sense of place.
You can choose from hundreds of beautiful and inspiring fine art nature, landscape and seascape scenes in both colour and black and white. You will find a beautiful selection of images from West Cork including Bandon, Kinsale, Timoleague, Courtmacsherry, Rosscarbery, Galley Head, Ballydehob, Baltimore, Lough Hyne, Beara peninsula, Glandore, Toe Head, Castletownshend, Skibbereen and Sheeps Head pensinsula; in addition to West Kerry, the Dingle peninsula,Slea Head, Dunquin, Blasket islands, Ballyferriter and Smerwick harbour. Photogalleries also include images from the West of Ireland including the Burren, Co Clare, Connemara, Co Galway and Co Mayo and some images of my travels abroad in particular New Zealand, Brazil, Italy, and the Czeck Republic.
This website was developed in part so that you could share my appreciation of Ireland, its landscape, mythology and ancient history. The cultural landscape of Ireland is unique, it has been shaped from the magical time of druids by pre-Christian megaliths, monastic sites, kings and queens, saints and scholars, epic voyages, visions and superstitions, tribes, sieges, rebellion, exile, famine and emigration, which for me means endless discovery and exploration.
